A simple universal meter with a reference point measurement function and a probe on the cable.
Basic paint gauge with a cable probe, with the possibility of measuring on steel, galvanized steel, and aluminium and relative to a reference point. The meter uses a larger display.
Measurement is relative to a reference point.
With this function, we can perform measurements relative to a selected point. The function is useful when comparing several test places in the car. For example, we select a reference point on the left front door and then measure other parts of the car (before that, select "Ref point" in the MENU option). In this way, when measuring e.g. on the roof, we get the result of -10um, which means that the roof has a varnish layer 10um thinner than the left front door. The reference point is not cleared when the meter is turned off.
Adaptation to other metals.
In addition, this function can be used to program a different variety of sheet metal (other metals). When setting the reference point, it is enough to do it on a blank sheet, and from now on, after selecting the material as "Ref point", we will be able to make measurements on such sheet.

The calibration - zeroing function ensures that the meter will measure correctly in all conditions, even after several years of use.
You can calibrate the meter before taking measurements and be sure that the measurements will be correct.
The meter is compensated and it calibrates itself automatically, but an accurate calibration is always possible using the calibration plate.
Beware of meters without calibration plates - in such meters the measurement error will soon increase because the probe wears out (wears out) and it will additionally affect the aging of the electronic components. That is why even meters worth several thousand zlotys are equipped with calibration plates and a calibration function.
